A senior pastor of His Hope Restoration Ministries in Queens village New York City, Reuben Chizor, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison
for raping two sisters in the church basement.
Queens District Attorney, Richard Brown on Tuesday ruled that the pastor should be put behind bars.
Chizor’s victims were 12- and 14-year-old sisters and members of his church.
The defendant, Chizor took advantage of his position as a senior pastor to satisfy his desires on the teenage girls, claims the court.
Richard Brown said, “He sexually abused his two young victims for virtually two years, through manipulation and conniving control.
”Trial testimony last month revealed that on July 27, 2011, Chizor raped the 14- year-old victim in the church basement, where he lived.
”On Aug 22, 2011, he raped the 12-year-old.
”56-year-old chizor continued abusing one or both of the girls through May 2013,” Brown said.
In July 2015, the girls confided in each other they had been raped by Chizor and police were notified.
